Kormo Bhumi does not guarantee a job; it intends to connect the desired skill-set with the available skilled resource. Hence, it is an electronic platform for capturing the skills of IT/ITeS professionals, provide opportunities for self-assessment and upskilling and facilitate in connecting them with potential employers.
One can add multiple skill-sets and subskills under specific skill-sets in the Kormo Bhumi. Please refer to the Applicant Manual to get the step-by-step process of updating your profile.
Kormo Bhumi currently has two key modules, namely, the Applicant module, Employer module, and one sub module namely, Job module. The Applicant module is created for the applicants willing to register their skill-sets and seeking employment opportunities in the IT/ITeS domain. The Employer module is prepared for representatives of IT/ITeS organizations, who are looking to recruit suitable candidates for different positions in their companies. In the job module, an applicant can search for relevant job(s) according to their preferred positions and locations (cities).

There is no fixed password for logging in to the Kormo Bhumi portal. One can log-in to the Kormo Bhumi portal by generating an One-Time-Password (OTP) in their registered mobile number. As and when an employer is looking for a candidate to fill up a vacancy in their organization and deems an applicant?s candidature suitable for the said vacant position, they would reach out to the applicant.

Self-assessment is an exercise conducted to gauge the competency/expertise/ skill of a candidate on a particular domain through an examination/test. In the Karmo Bhumi portal, an applicant with a profile completion of greater than or equal to 75%, would be eligible for a self-assessment test in the registered skill domain, at free of cost.
Please Use our Job module available at the top panel of the website. This option lets you filter the job adverts by location (city) and position. After selecting your preferences, click on the "Search" button. The search results would be displayed according to the preferences provided by the applicant. One can apply by clicking on the desired opportunity listed in the search result and subsequently following the next steps.
In the IT/ITeS industry, the employees may not be required to come to the office in order to carry out their stipulated job responsibilities, as the work may be carried out remotely.If a candidate has the required infrastructure ( internet connectivity, computer system, etc.) necessary for carrying out work from a remote location, and is willing to work remotely, s/he may denote such willingness by clicking on the checkbox provided to notify such willingness.
There are 30 main skills and more than 800 sub-skills listed in the Kormo Bhumi portal. Please refer to the drop-down menu provided under "My skills" heading to know more.The said list is being continuously updated with new skills and sub-skills by the Kormo Bhumi team.
